The way my twisted brain works during my Eliot class

There are shamrocks on the table, in a vase brought by one of the students. "The seeds were brought from Ireland" she says. "Freak", I think to myself. Roots and everything still attached to the thin white stalks. They smell weird. I am tempted to pick one and chew on it. I have this impression it´ll taste like watercress. Then again maybe it won´t. Are they edible at all? Should check that. Hm, might be poisonous for all I know. They´ve got big leaves, unlike clovers and just three of them. Not lucky. I´m looking over a four leaf clover, that I overlooked before. One leaf is sunshine the other is rain... God, where did I learn that song? And how does it go on?
"And still she cried and still the world pursues". God, I must´ve missed a million lines. Focus, girl, focus.

that i've over looked before

one leaf is sunshine
the other is rain
the third is the roses
that grow in the lane
no need explaining the one remaining

that's the one i adore...
